I’ve had a small project where the customer had to generate some hystopathology labels. The labels were generated from an Access report. The initial printer had a printable area of 2.82 x 0.7 cm and we (me and the sales representative supporting that customer) had spent quite a few days to manage to squeeze the printable information on that area.
Now, the sales representative found a better printer, where the printable area is 2.54 x 1.8 cm, and we had to update the report. I bursted in laughs again: we needed some time to control the tendency to squeeze information; in the end, we managed to fully use the printable area. I’m still amused by the situation: it’s a job where you have to laugh, otherwise you’ll end up crushing your LCD 🙂
